Buku ini adalah buku kelima dari tujuh seri The Chronicles of Narnia. Buku ini menceritakan petualangan menarik dari Edmund dan Lucy Pevensie yang sudah mejadi raja dan ratu agung di Narnia. Sekarang salah satu dari sepupu mereka, Eustace Clarence, akan mengikuti petualangan seru mereka mengarungi samudra - samudra yang ada di Narnia untuk mencari 7 Lord yang hilang...

Dengan buku yang berukuran kecil, buku ini sangat strategis untuk di bawa dan dapat di baca di waktu luang. Ukuran tulisn yang cukuo besar membuat daya tarik novel ini bertambah.

Buku ini sangat menarik. imajinasi yang sangat tinggi membuat buku ini mempesona. Ditambah lagi adanya gambar yang akan menjelaskan cerita yang membutuhkan kayalan tinngi sehingga pembaca tidak terlalu susah membayangkannya.

Tapi buku ini juga memiliki kekurangan, yaitu bahsa yang digunakan begitu "berat" sehingga, kadang, membuat pembaca merasa bosan. Dan juga tata bahasa yang kaku menyulitkan pembaca untuk lebih mengerti buku ini.

Novel "The Hunger Games" karangan Suzanne Collins ini menceritakan tentang negara bernama Panem. Panem memiliki 12 distrik dan Capitol sebagai ibu kotanya. Panem memiliki tradisi yang diadakan setiap tahun, yang dikenal dengan The Hunger Games.Peserta The Hunger Games adalah 2 orang anak muda lelaki dan wanita dari setiap distrik dengan satu pemenang tiap tahunnya. Tujuannya : Membunuh atau dibunuh. Pemilihannya dilakukan satu kali satu tahun.

Katniss Everdeen, gadis berusia 16 tahun dari distrik 12, merasa tidak bernyawa saat adiknya terpilih menjadi peserta Hunger Games. Dia harus melakukan sesuatu untuk menyelamatkan adiknya tercinta. Hanya ada satu cara, yaitu mengorbankan dirinya. Dia pun mengajukan diri sebagai peserta The Hunger Games ke - 74.

Dengan tulisan yang cukup besar dan jumlah halaman yang tidak begitu tebal, buku ini menjadi sangat menarik. Ditambah dengan cover bewarna hitam yang memanggil - manggil para penggemar novel untuk membacanya. Petualangan yang imajinatif juga merupakan daya tarik novel ini.

Novel ini memiliki banyak kelebihan. Diantaranya, Alur novel yang membuat kita dapat berimajinasi liar. Novel ini merupakan teman yang baik di waktu luang karena ceritanya yang menarik dan menegangkan. Selain kelebihan, novel ini juga memiliki kekurangan. Penyampaian atau tata bahasa yang "berat" menyulitkan pembaca dalam memahami ceritanya.

DETECTIVE CONAN

Detective Conan adalah serial manga Jepang karya Aoyama Gosho. Komik ini pertama kali terbit pada tahun 1994 di majalah antologi manga Mingguan Shōnen Sunday.Dalam versi Bahasa Indonesia diterbitkan oleh PT. Alex Media Komputindo.

Manga ini menceritakan tentang Shinichi kudo ( karakter utama ), yang mengecil akibat obat yang di berikan oleh Black Organization( Organisasi Hitam ), organisasi yang sangat kejam. Kemudian dia menyamarkan namanya menjadi Conan Edogawa. Dia bersekolah di SD Teitan dan membuat Grup Detective Cilik yang beraggotakan Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, dan Genta Kojima yang merupakan teman sekelasnya. Untuk menyelidiki organisasi tersebut, Conan pun tinggal bersama teman masa kecilnya, Ran Mouri yang ayahnya Kogoro Mouri,detektif swasta. Dia membantu Kogoro Mouri untuk memecahakan kasus sehingga membuat ketenarannnya meningkat. Conan membantunya dengan alat - alat yang dibuat oleh Prof. agasa.
Tokoh utama lainnya adalah Ai Haibara salah satu anggota BO yang berkhianat yang menciptakan APTX 4869, racun yang mengecilkan badan Shinichi. Nama sandi Ai adalah "Sherry". Sedangkan nama aslinya adalah Shiho Miyano. Ai pun ikut membantu Conan untuk meruntuhkan Black Organization.

Hingga bulan November 2012, manga ini sudah sampai pada nomor 70. Manga ini menuntut pembaca untuk memikirkan trik suatu kasus dan menentukan pelakunya. Selain itu manga ini juga berisi banyak ilmu pengetahuan yang bervariasi, mulai dari yang khusus sampai yang umum.
